Was privileged to be invited to Alegra Singapore’s new location opening launch at Plus Building, 20 Cecil Street #02-03 – which is right next to Republic Plaza.

Love the new place, it’s so spacious you can dance around, the look exudes a Victorian era of vintage classiness and coziness.

As you enter, kick off your shoes, make yourself comfy and ready to try your dream pair of shoes.

They have a cool looking feature wall/pillar very nautical with the ropes, blue and white stripes.

They will officially open for business on 3.Jan 2019 hurry on down to prep for your CNY!

Alegra Singapore is a shoe lovers paradise!

I love how black and white looks chic, elegant and spells class. Plus it never goes out of style!

The cut-in shoulder blouse has a great silhouette with a fitted bust and goes well with a pencil skirt giving you a feminine yet professional look!

I added black and white patterned shoes for even more of an effect.

Celebration OOTD :: 18th Wedding Anniversary

Today is my 18th Wedding Anniversary, we went Marriott Cafe for a buffet lunch as a mini celebration.

18 years together is no mean fit we had our fair share of fights and arguments. We have been each other’s support as we weather through the storm. We made fond memories, shared good times together, we have a beautiful daughter and a place we call home. I have no regrets, because had I done it differently, I might not have them in my world, and that is not a world in which I would want to exist.

I love onesies! They make dressing up a breeze the only annoying problem is going to the bathroom but it’s definitely worth it – just give myself a few minutes headstart to do the jiggly dance and all is good 🙂

Chic Friday :: Simple Style for a Gorgeous Look

Hello Lovelies its Friyay! I’m definitely looking forward to the weekend to spend time with my girl.

Business-Casual “Casual-Fridays” can mean different things to different companies but no matter what the company save those jean shorts, tattered jeans, crop tops, flip-flops and sneakers only for the weekend.

To me “Casual-Fridays” means slightly more casual/relaxed than Professional Business wear but one must still look chic and stylish.

I teamed a solid coloured ankle pants with a bold red checkered top. I have a habit of colour coordinate my shoes and accessories. For footwear, I wore a pair of red chaine patent flatties which matches my top.

ShenWendys Classic Black Dress — Classic Black Drress

If you’re going for that minimalist kind of look, where you want to look feminine and classic, yet not too overdressed and flashy, then this is a nice approach which I have put together. I wanted to keep it clean and simple, so I chose this cute little black dress from Nanz that I fell in love with when I saw it and paired it with a pair of yellow and black stripe heels to give the outfit some contrast.

Going further along with the contrasting theme, I paired a red clutch to balance out the black and brighten up the outfit a little more. For jewellery, I kept it simple and minimal. And there you have it!

This is how I would style my little black dress bringing me from work to a night out.

White-On-White

Be bold don’t be afraid to experiment with white-on-white. All-white is not only for themed parties and weddings, you can get away with the look at any type of event or even for work. Here’s a few pointers to take note of when putting together an all-white outfit. The crucial element in putting together an all-white ensemble is to clearly separate each piece of the one-color look by wearing different shades of white i.e. Ivory, light beige, cream, off-white etc. Alternatively is to pair with different textures. Wearing all-white gives an opportunity to show off your accessories too!

White will always create a clean, modern, fresh feel. In addition, an all-white ensemble – done right – will always make a powerful style statement. The question is: are you ready to speak?

I have opted for a white cut-out shoulder blouse, a off white satin printed pleated skirt and a pair of statement kitty heels.

7 Must-Have Shoes

I have to confess I am a shoe addict, I would love to have a walk-in shoe closet like Carrie Bradshaw a la Sex and the City. But of course this is real life and I’m no Carrie Bradshaw (don’t have the budget nor closet space for that matter). Irregardless, I believe all of the shoes we own serve a unique purpose – more than just walking around.

In my opinion every woman should have these 7 basic styles of shoes in their closet.

Pump Wedges

Stiletto Pumps

A basic pump in leather is one of the most versatile shoes any woman can own – they will never let you down. They are the LBD of the shoe world. They go with everything under the sun, taking you from work to play. I would recommend investing in two pairs, one in wedges and the other stilhettos to lengthen your legs and make you feel like a Greek goddess.

Ballet Flats

I love heels but I love my feet more, foot doctors have advised not to wear heels daily as they are bad for health. Thus occasionally I will choose to let my feet rest and don on a pair of ballet flats. There is an endless array of choices on style, materials and colours. Ballet flats are so comfy they make you feel like walking on clouds. A good pair of ballet flats will give your everyday dresses and jeans a chic Parisian flair.

Platform Wedges

Ideal for our hot climate, wedges are a more reasonable and comfortable alternative to stilettos. A pair can be great with skinny pants, jeans or a sun dress.

Happy Birthday Lovelies! Today is the 7th day of the first month of the Lunar New Year known as “Ren Ri” which literally means “Human Day” ~ everyone’s birthday. The Chinese legend has it, the Goddess Nüwa created the world. She created animals on different days and human beings on the seventh day.

One of the traditions is that on this day, we have to eat a dish made out of 7 types of vegetables (Xiao Baicai, Nai bai, Leek, Fu kwai chai, Kow peck chye, Yau mak chye, Kai lan). It is believe eating this dish brings good luck, makes you look younger & prettier too!
