Be bold don’t be afraid to experiment with white-on-white. All-white is not only for themed parties and weddings, you can get away with the look at any type of event or even for work. Here’s a few pointers to take note of when putting together an all-white outfit. The crucial element in putting together an all-white ensemble is to clearly separate each piece of the one-color look by wearing different shades of white i.e. Ivory, light beige, cream, off-white etc. Alternatively is to pair with different textures. Wearing all-white gives an opportunity to show off your accessories too!
White will always create a clean, modern, fresh feel. In addition, an all-white ensemble – done right – will always make a powerful style statement. The question is: are you ready to speak?
I have opted for a white cut-out shoulder blouse, a off white satin printed pleated skirt and a pair of statement kitty heels.

Ever wondered what you can do with an ordinary scarf? I love to wear scarves! There are numerous creative and fashionable ways for you to use scarves to add punch and color to your everyday look.
You can buy scarves anywhere…Takashimaya, Isetan, Accesorize, Robinsons, flea markets, or you can even raid your Mom or Grandmother’s closets (as you have for vintage handbags and jewelry). There’s no need to break the bank to add a little pizzaz to what you are wearing. You can spend anywhere from $5 upwards to say $500 or more.
Now, how in the world do you use scarves really?
You can wear it as a top paired with a black pencil skirt or a beige flair skirt
As a long maxi dress
As a choker necklace or necktie to jazz up a black top
You can use it as a belt to jazz up an outfit
It can even be a mini-tote bag to bring out
Another favorite of mine is by tying a scarf around my handbag! You can either tie a simple bow or wrapped round one of the handles!
Transform it into a Kimono for your daughter’s school functions such as “International Friendship Day” or “Racial Harmony” where they are encouraged to where a traditional costume from another country.
Other ways to add scarves to your look, is to wrap them around your head. I’m not a fan of this look, so have chosen not to add a visual to this post. Don’t get “tied” down by any one tie or look…find the one you like most, or a couple that works best for you.

Happy Birthday Lovelies! Today is the 7th day of the first month of the Lunar New Year known as “Ren Ri” which literally means “Human Day” ~ everyone’s birthday. The Chinese legend has it, the Goddess Nüwa created the world. She created animals on different days and human beings on the seventh day.
One of the traditions is that on this day, we have to eat a dish made out of 7 types of vegetables (Xiao Baicai, Nai bai, Leek, Fu kwai chai, Kow peck chye, Yau mak chye, Kai lan). It is believe eating this dish brings good luck, makes you look younger & prettier too!
This is one tradition I will dutifully follow every year!

Paying homage to my Asian roots in a contemporary and chic modern embossed Cheongsam suited for work, play and party!
The modern Cheongsam exudes oriental charm, the high collar emphasizes a lithe silhouette, the fitting top and the slightly flare finishing compliments your figure making one look slim, sexy, elegant and feminine.

I have been spending the past few weekends preparing for the upcoming Lunar New Year Celebration happening tomorrow.
Feeling chirpy and bubbly I decided to wear a floral print dress with pink lace on the top.
Do you know you can spruce up an outfit to a more corporate look by just donning on a blazer?
Oh I got a new hair cut too – it’s a Chinese custom to get a haircut and new clothes for the new year. The idea is that with a new look, bad spirits won’t recognize a person and follow them into the new year. I don’t know about you, but a little shopping and a brand-new ‘do chase my bad spirits away every time.
